Hold off on that iPhone 5

I'll have to wait about 20 months.

Just recently bought my iPhone 4s on a 2 year plan.

I should have waited a bit. Oh well... Am I missing much ?

I have the 4. There was no reason to upgrade to the 4S, and even less to go to the 5.

If each one gets 18% thinner and over 20% lighter, like the 5 is, then that iPhone 7 is just going to be a piece of paper.

i'm not convinced bigger is better. It's a phone. I want to be able to carry it without too much hassle. Thinner is good, but I have never said "gee I wish I had a bigger screen".

That's how I feel. My nephew has some kind of Droid - it's huge. I want a phone to fit in my front pocket. My iphone 3gs does but it's pushing it. I think the 4 and 4S are too big - and heavy.

The 5 does look pretty. I'll reserve judgement until I see it in person.

You know, the main complaint I hear about the iPhone 4S is that the screen is a bit small compared to current Android offerings, so Apple actually makes it bigger, (it's still not that big for a phone screen, have you seen the Galaxy Note?), improve the hardware & software.. but people still complain.

The iPhone 5 is a good upgrade from the 4S, imo. I'm really not sure what anyone was expecting.

A couple of years ago, I thought I'd run out and the the biggest & baddest phone! LOL That's what I get for thinkin'. I bought the Evo 4G. What a P.O.S. It had all kinds of problems. And, living in Sprint Headquarters area (Overland Park, KS) you'd think the service would have been great.

It wasn't. I dropped lots of calls, in area I never had problems with before. Like, work in downtown Kansas City, MO? For some reason, the "time stamp" on my texts were 30 some hours ahead or behind the actuall text message?

The worst was it would not stay in 4G! I took it to Sprint, and they said I needed to lock it in. They did. Within 3 minutes, I handed it back to the tech and asked him, "Wanna try again?" he fought with it for almost an hour, telling me each time it was fixed. Yeah, now who's the idiot? LOL

The nice thing is, I had a friend who was dying to have the Evo 4G! So, I solf it to him for what I paid for it, and bought a a normal phone. It's an LG slide phone. I haven't dropped call, it's texts just fine, including date & time stamps, it can surf the net, if I need to, at 3G speeds.

Best of all, I am a Happy Camper! No frustrations, no worries. IF I want a computer, I do have a fairly new Mac Laptop.

Let the others buy those high dollar phones, mine does what it supposed to.

My work associates and I have had fun with our camping at Apple Store jokes, and I probably will have the 6 and 7.

My order is in, I'm not sure I want a longer phone, but I own a tech support firm and my 4 model won't run enough of the new features so 5 it will be.

A lot of what people debate over this topic is silly. It's really applications and network that make the revolutions or big jumps now. None of touch screen, big screen, GPS, camera, maps, and more are new.

I don't moan so much about people buying stuff I more disagree but that doesn't make me right. But I agree some people just get over the top about it to easy. Live and let Live but I'll be the first to confess at 12:17 AM I became the owner of an iPhone 5. iMac, iPad, iPod, iPhone Long live apple.
