Wow, that's a bunch of replies, I guess it's time I participated.
My current obssession over the last couple of days has been Rodney Crowell's The Houston Kid. Such a great storyteller with a pure, dry voice, and I love the production on this record. It's mostly been a record I've enjoyed for my own entertainment, although I've been toying around with in my head an arrangement of "U Don't Know How Much I Hate U". What a great song with killer textures. I'm afraid the other record in current rotation over the last few days is a benchmark staple that I'm revisiting for the gazillionth time - Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. I'm doing some transcribing on "Freddie the Freeloader", so I've been listening to this one off and on quite a bit. |

Might as well chime in. I'm listening to remixes of one of my band Avalanche's tunes, Road Less Traveled, before it's sent to David Pendragon in Australia for mastering. You can hear it HERE.

I like Amy Winehouse too, and I am sick and sick of being tired of being sick at all the tabloid **** about her. The woman has a life. Musicians have troubles. Let the music out and get over her personal life which is no ones bidness but her own!

Standard Coltrane (Prestige), new re-release remastered by Rudy Van Gelder. Loved the LP, this sounds (almost) as good as the old vinyl.

The Dark Knight soundtrack by Hans Zimmer.
It is utterly awesome.
