Wow, that's a bunch of replies, I guess it's time I participated.

My current obssession over the last couple of days has been Rodney Crowell's The Houston Kid. Such a great storyteller with a pure, dry voice, and I love the production on this record. It's mostly been a record I've enjoyed for my own entertainment, although I've been toying around with in my head an arrangement of "U Don't Know How Much I Hate U". What a great song with killer textures.

I'm afraid the other record in current rotation over the last few days is a benchmark staple that I'm revisiting for the gazillionth time - Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. I'm doing some transcribing on "Freddie the Freeloader", so I've been listening to this one off and on quite a bit.

Might as well chime in. I'm listening to remixes of one of my band Avalanche's tunes, Road Less Traveled, before it's sent to David Pendragon in Australia for mastering. You can hear it HERE.

Wow, I guess I am a little bit late on this thread too. I have some personal photos [taken by a friend in Austin] of Tish doing a performance I would have loved to have been there. She deserves the utmost respect.

Right now I am listening to a Masterpiece. Who? What? When?

If anyone here has not heard Leonard Cohen "10 New Songs" ?
This is the cd of the new millennium. Pls do yourself a favor if you are musically inclined, and listen to this.

ps. for younger members, pls check out Charlotte Sometimes

It's Saturday morning... I am at work trying to get caught up... and I have some Amy Winehouse playing in the background. Time for another coffee.

I like Amy Winehouse too, and I am sick and sick of being tired of being sick at all the tabloid **** about her. The woman has a life. Musicians have troubles. Let the music out and get over her personal life which is no ones bidness but her own!

Standard Coltrane (Prestige), new re-release remastered by Rudy Van Gelder. Loved the LP, this sounds (almost) as good as the old vinyl.
