anyone remember Alice Coopers' "Welcome to my nightmare?"

I found the DVD of the live show, I'd like to pass it on, watch it and send it to someone else, so first one to send me your address by PM (within the cont USA please!) I'll mail it out to you.

Great theatrics and great guitar work by Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter!

I saw this show live twice. It was indeed an awesome show, especially considering the concert effects generally in use at that time. I appreciate the offer, but I'm afraid that seeing it now would diminish my memories of it...

& PM sent!!!

I love Alice Cooper- my intro to Rock & Roll. I've never seen a full song performed live - only "shocking" clips on VH1, MTV, etc.

In fact, I'm fighting the urge to go to YouTube right now & watch Alice Cooper, just in case the DVD is still kicking around - how better to experience a classic rock legend than by seeing a legendary DVD?

I'm a big Cooper fan, but I'm not that crazy about the "Welcome to My Nightmare" album and show.

I have many of his live concert DVDs, and my favorite is "Brutally Live."

DVD is going to Chad, hope you enjoy it.
I grew up listening to Alice Cooper, Billion Dollar Babies is probably my favorite AC album though I haven't heard much after WTMN.

For the time mid 70s, Welcome to my Nightmare was very cool stuff, and he had a pair of ace guitar players which helped out.

I even remember Alice being on the Muppet Show and doing songs from the album!

He's touring now. He's chopping his head off again.

This is Alice at Bonnarroo. Covering Lady Gaga's "Born This Way". You have to watch this long enough to see the Monster Gaga character.

Alice was a big part of my high school music mix. Fond memories.

I don't know how well their music will hold up in a century, but "I'm Eighteen" and "The Ballad of Dwight Frye" are eternal odes to each subject

When i listen to the older Alice Cooper stuff it does not seem to hold up for me. Some of the songs sound slow to me now, they didnt back in the early 70s.

I loved the album. I used to have a large poster of him on my bedroom wall back '77-'78. It was right next to my poster of Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad- good times!

I have the DVD and watch if fairly often. It never was my favourite style of music or rock music, but I always enjoyed him as a performer. The one thing I love the most about him is the fact that he's proof that evangelical Christianity and Rock (particularly Shock Rock and Metal) aren't mutually exclusive. Good for him!

yeah, who expected that?

I saw him a few times when he was promoting "Love it to Death" and "Killer" (long before Welcome to my Nightmare) It was a brilliant show.

Halo of Flies is like watching a movie.

Never got into those Rocky Horror Show type concerts.

Just watched the youtube version of WTMN...AC looks like he may be related to either Dee Snider or Frank Zappa or Howard Stern.

I think maybe Marilyn Manson watched him alot.

My copy of 'School's Out' came wrapped in a pair of white frilly knickers.

I was sold.

You summed it up with the word haunting, which is exactly what Dwight Frye's character in the "first" Dracula was.

Post Toastie, perhaps it's you who have slowed down?
