If by "internet security" you mean anti-malware software, then MSE is pretty good (if you're running Windows). If you mean hiding your traffic, then TOR (The Onion Router) is handy.

Yea, need more info. MSE is the current choice. I use Malwarebytes to check my system for Malware/Spyware. I have a Linux based firewall that blocks all inbound traffic.

Right now I have Mcafee Secure through Shaw internet. I was considering
Bitdefender Total Internet Security 2013, but I'm seeing some mixed reviews. The experts seem to rate it #1, but some people complain about it slowing down their computer, I don't know enough about internet security to make an informed choice at this point. My wife seems to be pleased with her Norton security, so that's why I'm asking. Anyway thanks to all those who have offered suggestions. |

Picked up a nasty Trojan this afternoon. It posed as a helpful security program there to fend off a pending malware attack. In fact it was the malware attack. Re-start in "safe" mode, turn Security Essentials loose on the intruder... no problem! |
