I don't care for it. It reminds me of something I made out of clay as a kid, that grew misshapen and broke into pieces when it was fired in the kiln.

Well, it's a 2, an 0, a 1, and a 2...loosely speaking.

The first time that I saw it, it took me a couple of seconds to realize what it was supposed to be. Personally, I don't care for it.

What do you supposed that took? 10 minutes?

FAIL of the highest degree.

It's horrible. There is another version, easily found online, that spells out a 4-letter word which I am much too polite to mention here.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favor of cutting edge design, graphic and otherwise. But when it actually obscures the meaning it's meant to convey, that's not cutting edge, it's over the edge. All IMO. CS

the 0 looks like some sort of horridly misshapen map of Australia that I'm used to seeing in bad graphics here.

Fail.

If they billed out any more than 10 minutes for that piece somebody got overcharged. Actually if that cost them anything at all, even a penny (or a.. pence piece?), they got overcharged.

I think it's pretty bad and I'm a graphic designer with a very high opinion of myself.

Some of the alternate logos people sent into the BBC were great. Check number 1 and 4 (slides 3 and 6) out on this:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/6723027.stm

Some good old British humour on the last logo of this collection:

And some foul internet humour :D

Can I withhold my opinion until the TDPRI resident olympics expert weighs in??

(actually I'm not a fan of it - I liked the underground logo better)
