If your vehicle is traveling at the speed of light, what happens when you turn on the headlights?

You know where your headlights are.

If you have 5,000 parakeets inside a pressurized airplane and they all suddenly take flight, does the airplane weigh less?

Best not turn the lights on. You'd only draw attention to yourself and you'd probably get pulled over for speeding.

Actually by turning on your lights, they would emit photons and would slow you down to just under the speed of light, so you'd still be able to see the light ahead of you.

not that i've ever thought about it...

If your car travels at the speed of light, it's length (to an outside observer) is zero, so you're invisible. As are your headlights

..just a question of datum, reference and definitions. Let's define a random photon as our position datum, and we're all travelling at the speed of light.

..btw, I have a time machine at home. It only goes forward at regular speed though. (who said that? In a movie? I can't remember)

In order to fly the birds would create downward pressure equal to their weight so the weight of the airplane stays the same.
