I've never understood how the USA manages with mailboxes stuck out on poles like that. Over here they would all be stolen or vandalised within minutes. Anyone know why having your mailbox or the contents stolen isn't more common over there? It can't be because the USA has a lower crime rate!

Just talked to the Sheriff, and he said there's not much he can do(no other crimes reported in the area), but that it was uncommon for the entire mailbox to be missing!

Woke up this morning and discovered it rained last night. There were tree branches laying all around it was a terrible site. The stuff from my deck got blown out onto the lawn. But it was still there, not gone.
