Having a good day.

The sun is shining at last. There's a cool breeze coming in the window. Derek Trucks is on the stereo, and the CV Thinline is plugged into the Blues Jr.
It's a good day.

Who else is having a good day?

Today I didn't even have to use my A.K.
I got to say it was a good day.

Weather finally caught a break, and suddenly it's like spain here or something! Handed off my recordings and songs to one of our towns biggest music heads, an ol veteran. Looking forward to some feedback from someone that has lived the life.. And yeah, its so summer hot!! Tele hooked up to the vox, and some suzie q in my ears.

Yeah it's been a beautiful day here today -at least in my bit of the UK, anyway. Warm and sunny, so I decided we'd fire up the Weber tonight and have home made burgers, which were great. Also, my homebrew cider is looking good and I should be enjoying some nice pints next weekend once it's ready. Put some new strings on my Strat and gave it a good fret polish ready for our gig on Saturday as well.

Yesterday (the 4th) was a real good day: Got up late, had a little breakfast, went to an afternoon Independence Day party w/ my wife, had some good grub and heard a fine band. The band has a couple guys I've become pals with, who I've been meaning to hear ... see if they can play worth a sh&t ... and they both certainly can, and they certainly did. Left for home, ran some errands, had a little siesta, barbecued some chicken for dinner, also made cole slaw and baked beans w/ a ton of bacon & onions. Hauled out the boom booms, had lots of sparklers for the neighbor kids [who all behaved and didn't get all crazy nuts], and depleted my considerable supply of incendiary devices. Had a bunch of folks settin' in the driveway enjoying the show, and got lots of smiles and thank-yous for doing something I'd do if I was living solo somewhere in the hills of Montana

Today was good too: scheduled some work, Friday looks like an easy one, and next week too. I actually fixed something today; could have dig in my heels and had someone else do it, but I needed a bit of all-too-rare job satisfaction, so I took one for the team and fixed it myself. Heading home now for a little quiet time, wife and son are at the movies for a bit longer. Dinner is pot luck, and we got leftovers. All is well in my world

I'm having a pretty good day. At work yesterday, we actually had a civil conversation on a particular technical point (it's just one of those contentious issues. We get along pretty well here.). And today, I'll probably finish up the work that came out of the conversation. And our schedule for the project actually went down instead of up this week. I have only 1 day to go until a week's vacation.
