Seth McFarlane helps the cause of Science

I just saw this and thought it was a cool thing to do

http://news.yahoo.com/carl-sagan-pap...153806532.html

Its getting rarer and rarer to see anybody do anything unselfish these days and this was from an unexpected source.

BTW I'm a big "Family Guy" fan, PBS TV Series, not so much...

MacFarlane's also one of the executive producers of a new Cosmos series to be hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson and scheduled to air next year...on Fox.

That is cool. He's a fan of science.

He was on The Daily Show and talked about consulting Neil DeGrasse Tyson for a bit in Family Guy.

Nice to see such a great addition to the LOC. McFarlane is cool, and a bit funny too.....

Why didn't Sagan donate his papers upon his death? I mean, if was a citizen scientist and would have been thrilled by this, why were his papers held hostage by someone?
