The 60's. That's when I moved from Manchester, UK to California. It was 1964 the same week A Hard Days Night was released. The girls all thought my accent was the cutest thing. 1968.... I saw Peter Green in Fleetwood Mac and my music life was changed on the spot. 1968 I saw this girl from 50 yards and fell in love on the spot. She wouldn't go out with me or even talk to me. Took a year but eventually I got her. We were in love for five years. 1970's=broken heart.... eventually got married. Now a grandfather and still married to the same woman, but never forgot the first one.... it all seems like yesterday. Enjoy the good times everyone.

I loved the 60's too! Although I was six when I first saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, it changed my life and that's when I first put my hands on a guitar. I knew at that time the guitar would play an important role in my life. Yeah, and chicks too!

I too started playing as a result of the Beatles/ Ed Sullivan and consider that era of music as the most important in history. While the Beatles impacted Rock and Roll they certainly helped put instruments in the hands of musicians who moved on to create other genres and inspire countless others to take up the guitar. Their legacy still continues even though a lot of people think music is dying or stagnate.

Not this one. The 70's were better than the 80's, the 90's were okay, the 00's sucked, and with luck I won't live to see the end of the Terrible Teens or whatever we're calling the 2010's.

Is it too late to change my answer?
Now is certainly the best time ever, no ifs and or buts. If you disagree, there's something wrong with you Hey, I finally got it right right? |
