Kings NHL Champs!!!!!

Wow, finally after all these years. Loves me some Kings. They just picked themselves up and got on the hot streak at the right time. Quick made some blue collar saves in winning the MVP. Hats off to the Kings, for once.

normally it's a 2 minute hit, but any hit that draws blood is automatically a minimum of 4 minutes, plus Bernier was playing the body, not the puck, so 5 minute major and a game misconduct was the right call.

That said, the Kings really deserved that win, they played phenomenally throughout the playoffs.

Loved watching Rogie when he was with the Bruins. A lot of his speed was gone by that time, and he was doing it on smarts and positioning.

Congrats to the new Champs! Hope you Kings fans have a fun summer.

Overheard in L.A. this morning:

"We have a hockey team?"

Congrats Kings...capitalized on that dumb, dirty hit and never looked back. And Quick is a badass.

Overheard in L.A. this morning ... "how on earth in 83º weather do the Kings win the cup?"

We love our hockey here ... so many 'angelinos' are from the east coast.

Great team with a great coach. I was rooting for the Kings as soon as it looked like my team wasn't going to make the playoffs(October).

There are certainly some passionate fans in L.A., but, taken collectively, L.A. hasn't cared squat about hockey before or since Gretzy played here... until now.

No bummer. It simply means we're enjoying the good stuff and ignoring the bad.

Sing it with me, L.A.!

Congrats to the Kings and their fans. Regardless of the game situations, series, calls, no calls, etc...they won the Cup. So congratulations are in order.

Well, they seem to be more interested in hockey than they are in football. So the Kings have that going for them.

Well we can always use more hockey fans no matter where they are. Congrats to the Kings. Quick had a great run. Hopefully he brings the cup for a visit to UMass.
