Thursday you'll have to realize that Greece ran out of EUR(o) in every way .

Hey, hey - this thread is supposed to be about football!

Political discussions are not allowed here! It would be bad if the thread was closed before the championship was over ...

And yes! the greeks had a solid defence + Samaras + a bit of luck; That's all. At least seen through Norwegian glasses.

Norway will be meeting Greece in August, but our team isn't what it used to be in the late 90's, when we beat Brasil 2-1 in the WC. In fact we have 2 wins and 1 draw against Brasil in 4 matches! Who else can say that? And now we're not even qualified for the EURO 2012 ...

Agreed Hopefully Greece retains an affinity with their cultural roots .
Unfortunately i'm not allowed talking about different terms but football around here .

Following the Euro and supporting both Italy and Spain, from Argentina... good quality football so far!

Yes, that was a rough comment Omiewise65. I may have misunderstood, but it didn't seem cool, at all. And Nick Fanis, you then blew it out of proportion.
It's incredible how football leads to violence so quickly. I'm no referee, but I think we should let this die now, please.

BTW, the story about Danish supporters chanting Messi's name at Ronaldo, and of his reaction, was featured on all the sports media here!

Surprises happening now - wonder how many more of the fancied teams may fall out at this stage. Never thought Russia would be gone so early.

As I've said earlier I have a sweet spot for Denmark, but I think the Germans will be too strong. Players like Lahm and Özil don't grow on trees!

Right now I rank Germany and Spain as the biggest favorites to the title.

Oh for sure any excuse for a few pints.I think it would be worth a tenner bet on Ireland to beat Italy 1-0. We've got to nothing to lose and have always been a dangerous underdog.

You've been listening too much to Hector talking it up every morning!

Still, I wouldn't put it past them.

I'd love the Dutch to pull off a miracle.

Robben passes and Holland scores, he should have thought of that before the tournament started.

Very entertaining first half between Germany and Denmark.

Germany is as good as expected - which means real impressive!, but you got to love the Danes! They never give up.
