I never wear sneakers. Steel-toed boots on the motorcycle, cowboy boots the rest of the time.

As long as you stay playing in your bedroom and don't step on stage it's all good!

Jeans and sneakers--yep.

T-shirts--those too.

Boots to shovel snow--I'm in agreement there, too.

Denim jean shorts--yes, those too.

A few other articles of clothing mentioned in a couple of other threads. Just the cultural stuff and the occasional suit, as needed.

"Proper" attire? Sheesh! If I'm kicking back at home or out running chores I'll wear jeans and a T-shirt. Colder weather calls for a sweatshirt, maybe a jacket. Whatever comes to hand, footwear-wise!

If I'm goin' out it'll be smarter jeans or trousers (depends upon venue and occasion!) and a smart/casual shirt with a pair of smart Chelsea boots.

Gigging is generally a shirt, jeans and a pair of All Stars - gotta look good, but feel comfortable!

The only shorts I ever wear tend to be camo-patterned, knee length, "jam-packed full o' pockets", baggy shorts! I don't really do summer attire!

And all o' that aside, can't beat the feeling of wearing a good fitting suit with a shirt and tie... When the occasion calls for it, I'm happy to oblige!

Context is everything. If you're wearing them to the store (and they're clean, nicely hemmed and not inappropriate in any way) or out in your back yard gardening, who cares? They're comfortable and durable.

I guess I'm just old. Never heard them called "Jorts." Now "Daisy Dukes" . . . but those are very different from the jean shorts I wear (they wouldn't look good on me).

I'd love to try some of those on our "boys," but I've already been in the hospital due to cat bites.

My wife made me a pair of really wild green paisley pants for stage attire. I combine them with my cowboy boots and I'm ready for some 60's rockin'. I get two different reactions, some people say "cool pants", other people just laugh.

I know what you mean, but if I could afford the dry-cleaning bills, for me it would be a suit all day, every day! I'm like the character of Barney from "How I Met Your Mother"... Just without the wardrobe department and chauvanistic attitude towards the opposite sex...!
