Sweetwater guitar feedback

Anyone here ever done business with them? I read on some reviews where people got constant sales calls from them after making a purchase. Not so much a problem with the products or pricing, just constant sales calls.I am looking to get the BSB classic vibe tele from them.
Thanks

I had to ask them to stop contacting me. They were very good about it. It is just a gung-ho kind of environment they have there.

I've bought a few things from them, never a guitar though. I was satisfied with everything about the process, but they will call me every now and then. I had one salesman, and if I had any questions about a product, I would email him and he was very good with quick and honest responses. Also, you can go directly through your salesperson to make orders, which is kind of convenient. He has moved on I guess though, and I now have another salesman that communicates with me. I haven't purchased anything via him, so I'm not sure how he is yet.

But, its nothing so overbearing that should prevent you from buying the Tele from them.

I hadn't bought anything in a while and my "Rep" called me and said they can't continue sending me the full catalog. I told him that funds were tight and a large purchase was iffy at best. He said he understood. They have continued to send the catalog two years since we last talked. They're still hoping I suppose. They always send candy with a purchase.

I have purchased several guitars from them in the last year and have had nothing but a positive experience. Every guitar purchased arrived flawless. I find them very easy to deal with, they will match or at least come close to other competitors sale prices. At least that has been my experience. The only phone calls I have received were follow-up calls to make sure the guitars arrived ok and I was satisfied.

Sweetwater is great! Your salesman will get to know your needs and let you know when items you have interest in are in sale, etc. Always top notch service plus free candy with each order. How can you go wrong?

Sweetwater

Just bought an Apple iMac through them. They know their stuff, and they're very aware of the pro's and con's of a purchase.

Best service I've had online, from anyone.

Better off with Musician's Friend, never an issue with returns and no on the job calls to asses my "needs".

I've never had any calls, but I get a few emails, and maybe a letter or two. maybe I didn't give them my phone number? I think I just bought a pedal though.

I bought a Tele from them, it arrived set up perfectly. The only call I got was to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I have bought small items in the past from them and it was all good.

I quit signing up for thier contests and told them to quit calling because they kept calling me at work two or three times s week even though I explained my hours every time. Maybe it was just the specific rep I had. I was getting more sales pressure than help and advice. It's a shame because I think they are a good company.

Never had a call, but they're usually great to work with. They'll bend over backwards to help you, and they usually match prices as well. If you're ever up here in Indiana, check them out in person, especially during Gear Fest.

My opinion of them is mixed.

First, and worst of all, I bought an item from them that was clearly listed as "in stock". Then, a guy sent me an e-mail asking me to give him a call. I did so. He told me over the phone that it wasn't in stock, but they might have it there in two weeks. I canceled the entire order and took my business elsewhere.

Second, they're always calling or wanting me to call them about something. I, frankly, have no real desire to talk to them or get to know them or anything like that. The less I talk to them, the better, from my perspective.

Other than those two things, I've had good experiences with them. I would probably do business with them again... I guess.

+1

I haven't used Sweetwater yet & after reading this stuff about phone calls I'm glad I did.. I almost bought a LP jr from them last week but the price jumped $700 over night was going to call them and see what the deal was but found another one for the original price locally.

MF has never done me wrong in 5+ years, only times they ever called me was to verify "I" placed an order for a PRS and the next morning a tech called me to ask what strings I wanted on the PRS and how I wanted the action set.

Another issue I've had with Sweetwater is that on more than one occasion I didn't get a reply to an email regarding products I've been considering. MF always comes through and they match any advertised price I throw at them.

I never received any calls from them, other then them calling me to let me know when the item had actually shipped, at which point they said if I need anything else, please call. That was it. Never purchased any guitars though.

I buy from MF and Sweetwater .....I bought an Epi Studio SST from Sweetwater and had a problem with the electronics.....Sweetwater worked with me till the problem was resolved.....never dealt with MF in that capacity but I have no reason to think they would not be great ....Sweetwater calls every now and then but it has never been a problem.
