The only way I'm a morning person is if I'm still up from the night before. It takes me a good two hours to get up and running in the morning. If I crawl out of bed at 3:00 PM, I'm wide awake. But if it's before noon, forget it.

When my time was my own, I used to stay up for 20 hours, and sleep for 10. Every few days I'd lose a day. Nowadays, kids wake me up before 8:00 even on the weekends.

Oh yea. I get up at 4 am just before the alarm goes off just about every workday and promptly at 6:15 am on weekends I just wake up.
During the week, I hit the gym before starting work at about 6am. I'm in bed right now just getting ready to flip off the light and go to sleep. Carl

12 midnight to 2:30 am slot here. I can't think straight enough to play until then. Then...it's off to bed and I sleep like a baby until the chickens wake me up at 7:30 because they thought they saw something. Gonna butcher them soon I think.

I'm definitely a morning person but due to work, my morning begins just before midnight...
I've always been a night owl. If I want to sing in a low register, then I'm gonna have to do it 1st thing after waking up. I have always been like that. I can sing in low registers in the morning that aren't even any part of my range at any other time. I have often surprised myself singing early in the day like this. Sad part is that the older I get, the more that becomes a requirement for singing in any register! My father was a public speaker. (2 elected offices, active civic clubs member and a popular interim pastor) He had this thing with his larynx which caused him to become ever more horse as his voice tired. His brother was like that and I can hear it in my older brother also, and as I've gotten older it has become worse in me too. My voice is much stronger in the morning. I have to do a lot of help desk/phone support as part of my duties and often; by the end of the shift, my voice is completely shot. I love the night and I love the misty waking world of the dawning day... particularly out in the fields or the woods... I guess I'm a morning person...

Big fan of the early morning, here. It's my time, when nobody's up, nobody's there at work. Good time for serious progress, or for serious goofing off.

4:30 am every day, even if I play till 1 am, nap time for 30 minutes or so at about 4 pm (if possible), ready to play that night. Except for the last days of my 40 year experiment with alcohol, I've never needed much sleep.

I don't usually play in the morning, but I rise pretty much every day at 4:15 (after gigs, I sleep in til 7) and get on to stuff, I am useless between 3 and 5 in the afternoon, and refuse to entertain any 'new things' after 8 pm.
I love early morning and I love the night time.. mid afternoon... not so much. I play guitar mostly when I get home in the evenings....
