I only add that The Avengers make you laugh out loud, and you do that at the same time as the kids do: if some of those kids are your children.. well, that's well worth the ticket IMO!

I am so bad ass on the internet!

Ok, movie review. Saw it opening day, 10:30 in the morning, 3D,.. maybe 20 people in the theater. Wife and one son with me,... we all enjoyed it, some good laughs, well acted for what it was, a great couple hours of mindless entertainment.

I keep no secrets.

And always speak my mind.

It's better to be that way.

Well, good luck if you happen to bump into a large ugly man, happen to step on his foot, and feel compelled to point out how ugly he actually is too.

Jeez - I'm out of the loop. I'm gonna go see it today with a bunch of Firefly nerds as this month's "shindig," but I didn't have any idea it was a Whedon project. Had no clue on Cabin in the Woods, either.

I really have had my nerd card revoked, apparently.

If anyone could do a good superhero film it'd be Joss Whedon. Now Joss, use the money from this film to fund Firefly season 2.

Can't wait to see it. Liked iron man (both), Thor, captain America, and the second hulk. Put all these heroes in a pot= awesome...

I like Castle though! (Actually, I like Becket, but I also like the show)

Not a comic book geek but fully support their right to nerd-out on what is probably a great flick that I'll eventually see.

I loved Ironman 1 and Capt America, not a single Hulk movie, nor Thor and thought Batman Begins was really great as was Heath Ledger in the second Batman, but - by then Christian Bales voice thing was far beyond tedious.

The rubbery dude/flamey dude/rock-y guy/Jessica Alba movie ? Nahhhh...

There, in a nut shell, is a civilian's view of some of this stuff.

I am an admitted huge fanboy comic book geek. My expectations for this movie were sky - high. Joss Whedon blew them out the door. This movie had everything I could have asked for. The way he used the Hulk was perfect and proved he is the undisputed king of the diverse character action genre ( Buffy and Firefly ). Saw it in IMAX 3-D this morning. If you can see the movie in this venue, do it. Nuff' said!

I have it on good authority that you have to stay all the way through the credits because there's one or possibly even TWO extra scenes to see after!

There is a scene a min or 2 after the credits start that kinda hints at the next marvel movie. The scene after all the credits is just funny

I thought it was good. The boring parts were boring, the action parts were awesome, and the funny stuff was funny. I didn't see that 3d enhanced this movie in any way, so 2d might save you a couple of bucks. The end credits were the only thing I saw that were boosted for 3d.

Finally somebody got the Hulk right.

I went to see it and liked it. A little bit over the top in some places but worth seeing.

The theater was completely packed and that's a big change.

Two!! I saw the first one with our friend from Titan with the death fixation. What was the second. Write it in fanboy shorthand so we don't spoil it for others.

Sadly, *I* haven't yet been able to see it - I probably won't get to until Tuesday or maybe Wednesday (if that). I got the info about the two stay-through-the-credits scenes from a friend who stood in line to see the first showing.

Now, Lenderman says:

At the end of the battle, Tony Stark mentioned a good shwarma restaurant that is a few blocks away.
