I actually took the taxidermy course from the North West School of Taxidermy. I never got to squirrel lamps though.

I was into that as a teenager. Sent off for the pamphlet and everything. It was a passing fancy...right after losing interest in the Charles Atlas bodybuilding course. Didn't know about the squirrel lamp though.

Never waste a squirrel carcass, unless it is green.

How long will the squirrel sit on the lamp before it leaves? Then, won't it just jump around the living room, run up the drapes, break a lot of stuff, etc.?

Thanks for that Nick. I kack myself every time I see it. And they do make nice souvenirs cane toads. When I was a small kid I lived in Mackay and there were two brothers living in my street who used to delight in popping a penny bunger into a toad's gob. Now when a toad gets something large in his gob he tends to suck it right in, and just before the wick dissapeared, the boys would light it and run like hell!

Talk about rectum! ( very old Aussie joke! )
