Lol!!

I've had my valve stem caps stolen a few times. Since they only cost a buck or two for a four pack, I have to assume that the thieves are just too lazy to go buy them. Hell, I even find used ones on the ground sometimes at the service station near the air hose, where people probably forgot to screw them back on after topping off their air.

Yeah, that makes no sense. Is it really worth the risk of getting caught stealling something so inexpensive?

The eighties were a strange and difficult time. Especially for yoghurt lovers.

I just remembered the time my GF and I wanted to spend a weekend in NYC. We drove down from Syracuse until we got close enough to take the train in and left the car parked at the train station.

When we got back, some kids had broken into the car, folded the seats down flat, and (apparently) had sex in there. The only actual evidence of that, thank God, was a 1960's era Sex Education Textbook left open on the seat. This would have been around 1990 or so.

But, they did also steal my cheap little boom box cassette player, and I think some of her Christian Rock music tapes.

I used to work next to a body shop.
I owned a '74 Chevy Nova.
Got out of work one day, and ALL the decals on my Chevy Nova were taken off my car???
Three guess what car that body shop was working on.........................................

A couple of years ago in the East Bay people were stealing catalytic converters off of Toyota Tacomas because they had a high amount of platinum or something like that in them.

I had one of those flat magnetic rubber Batman logos on my Jeep. I'm surprised it took 3 years for someone to snatch it.

Keeping with the 80s theme, my brother lived in a borderline-seedy neighborhood in Philly, ground floor apartment of an old row house. Once, during a spike in the price of aluminum, they had a repeating problem with people stealing the storm door of the back door.

Also during the 80s aluminum spike, I was riding my bike one day in Fairmount Park. I saw a street person pushing his shopping cart up the West River Drive, but then noticed he was an entrepenurial street person. He had obtained a screwdriver, and was methodically working his way up the drive, stopping at every light pole to remove the oval wiring-access cover plate from the bottom. Those things weight a lot more than soda cans.

I had a friend (now deceased) who told a story about how he got rid of some old worthless tires one time. He had put them out front of his house, thinking the local trash collectors would pick them up and take them to the dump. They never did. So he tied the tires to a tree with a rope, and put a homemade "For Sale" sign on them. The next day, they were gone.

We opened for "The Shirts" around 1976 in NYC. Small stage so we had to use mostly their equipment. Our stuff was backstage and all gone when we were done. Luckily I had my guitar onstage with me. Sucked big time, especially since I was young and broke at the time...and we were too stupid to even think about suing the club or something. Oh well.

Yeah, I had a pair of the cool dice caps disappear off of my 51 Ford.

My first thought was...yep, junior got a cool pair for his bicycle.

Whats the difference between "Rims" and "Wheels"?

Isn't it nice the way we all have stories about thefts? ... And everybody just kinda accepts the phenomenon?
Guess that's why it continues.

I don't accept it at all, and I hate thieves. I think my exact words would have probably been censored anyways. If I ever catch the dirtbags.....

I see no solution in the above statement.

Everyday people are giving and do wonderful things as well .

There are always givers and takers .

It is not a matter of fault ,as I see it it is just stuff happening.
