More proof that vintage GAS is an insidious, destructive thing. Is the perp a member of this forum?

Nah not this forum - probably TGP. ;)

I mean - After finniking around with the booty, changing the pups out for 27 different currently and hotly discussed replacements, the perp was still not getting enough TGP peer kudos nor whoa-dudeness forum veneration points, so turned himself in, and the rejected loot, claimed the bounty prize and bought part shares in a TGP Klon Timeshare scheme.

He gets a 'visual and tactile entertainment only' slot with it every 2nd Tuesday. Indoors only. (Return polished, and with all knobs at 8 'o clock please). Strictly no Guitar related interactions.

More seriously
a: Thats a great story.
b: TP has so many vintage guitars, its heartening that he actually noticed..
c: Glad that Mike Campbell's '59(?) LP - the one that he used all over 'MOJO' (what a beautiful sound that thing makes) was not swiped.
d: Good Karma prevailed - for once.
e: TP and MC, and more Heartbreakers are heading out on tour - thats another thing to celebrate.

So I just heard that the police got the guy trying to pawn the guitars for $250.
How smart was this guy? Take the guitars to a pawn shop, that gets daily alerts on stolen gear, and try to pawn the guitars for as cheap as possible, instead of taking the $7500 no questions asked reward.

GOOD!

Interesting that RON BLAIR'S broadcaster was swiped, have to wonder if the perp was going for Mike Campbell's, or only cared that it was a broadcaster!

From some of the police report, that has been leaked so far, the guy had no idea what a guitar even was and no clue that they were vintage collectables that belonged to someone famous.
Must have been a drummer.

(low grumbling laugh that is so inconsolable for drummers)
