I hate Peas, Spinich, Mushrooms and Olives.....
I like Maple Syrup and LOVE Maple of any kind on an acoustic guitar back...(Except Syrup on a guitar back is bad I hear.) But then again, I also like rosewood on the back. To me though maple has a very unique sound that cuts through a mix well with an acoustic and also records very nicelyl. On top of a guitar, I tend to prefer Spruce.

I love black olives, especially on pizza. I don't like my wood to have termites.... But I like flame maple in general. It contrasts too much with the work-horse, simple nature of a Telecaster, but so do the colors on some Teles.... and so does binding on the customs. I really love the looks of the 40th anniversary USA Tele with the flame maple. I think that a flame maple body needs to be fitted to a flame maple neck, to give the guitar some continuity... What's not to like about it? Not liking the application of it in certain situations, is valid, of course..Someday I would like to have a flame maple 2 tone sunburst amplifier cabinet.. Yay!!!!

Anyway, Cameage, thanks for letting us know about your hatred of flamed maple. LISTEN UP EVERYONE - don't ever give Cameage anything with flamed maple on it. Don't make him buy a guitar with flamed maple, and maybe don't even show him your guitar if is has flamed maple. We don't know if he'll snap.

It's purely coincidence that I have some figured tops,I really don't care if the guitar's right. Sure is cool to look at though...
I hate to show up playing one. Open the case and you get those "here's another banker that can't play a lick" looks. They're half right, I'm not a banker. |

Eh, I don't hate them, but I've always thought guitars with figured wood tops just looked goofy. Same with binding on a solid body guitar, I don't hate it, but I'd REALLY prefer to not have it.
So, I don't have guitars displaying either. Pretty easy fix

I ate flammkuchen (flame cake/tart flambee) recently - it was yummy.
