I know that the bitch sessions starts about this time every year but really...KISS on the ACM?? I watched long enough to see Carrie Underwood open the show in some awful negligee thing... has anyone ever wanted to be a "star" more than this poor child? OK enough shut up now and post.

Just kidding. It's the Academy of Country Music. I haven't actually heard a country song yet tonight but I'm still hopeful.

I saw a preview for that show that mentioned Kiss and LL Cool J would be performing. Can someone explain WHY?

Its Vegas. They get comped a lot. Or else Dick Clark owns them all.

Firstly...everyone should know by now these shows are a mash up of styles these days, and country is not the country you all hold dear to your hearts.

I thought Red Solo Cup was fun, and I'm new to the song but I get the impression it's played out on the radio, etc. I'm always late to the party!

watching ACM to hear country music is like going to Lowe's for a ham sandwich.

I liked Zac Brown and Brad Paisley together. Where's the Grand Ol' Opry when you need it?

Carrie is morphing into the new Shania Twain.

Teasing with the short skirt.

No complaint here.

BTW, the song "Save Water Drink Beer"?

Written by Bud?

I can just see all the drunken pool players in the local dive hoisting their beer mugs off their bellies and singing the tag line, as their livers fail...

Seriously, what a POS commercial song.

I watched it for awhile, enjoyed Brad Paisley, but so much of the rest of it was migraine-inducing. Noisy, flashy, cheesy and unrelentingly so. Completely geared to the short attention span crowd. And too many hats.

I did pick up my Tele when I turned it off though, so it wasn't a total waste.

I'm a rock fan, and a country fan (not the glittered up formula stuff), but Kiss on the CMA. That seismic event you're feeling is Hank Williams spinning in his grave...at warp speed.

I love old country and I've come to enjoy modern country too.

I am enjoying the show. My son is really enjoying the show and I'll watch until i go for a walk in a bit... entertaining... I have a feeling the monitors aren't working too well though.
