Wash DC Area vintage guitar and amp shops?

  • Southworth in Bethesda -- bring a big checkbook and be careful not to let your drool hit the floor.
    Action Music in Arlington -- casual, hole-in-the-wall vibe with cool gear and great service
    Atomic Music in College Park -- huge selection of used gear. You'll need to sort through the $150 Ibanez but you never really know what you'll find there.
    Classic Axe in Centerville -- not a big selection (they also sell a lot of new) but call ahead if there's someting you're looking for. I've seen some cool stuff there.
