He's back-TIGER ! ! ! !

Well after about 950 days without an official tour victory Tiger is back.He has his game at the best level finally since the Butch Harmon coaching days. Maybe the putter is not quite there but is good enough. Look out for him at The Masters!

I was watching that. He looked like ten thousand pounds was lifted from his shoulders. He had a happy smile. He just didn't put himself in position for too many mistakes over the last couple of days. Good stuff, golf needs Tiger.

Yeah......he makes golf fun to watch when he's holding off the pack on Sunday. Mc Dowell caved under the pressure of such consistency of the back nine......he had his openings and could'nt make a move.

I will admit, I thought he was washed up, but I am glad he's back! I watched not only his triumphant return, but for a while was switching back and forth to watch Freddy Couples narrowly win his senor tournament. Tiger looked thinner and not as buffed, but he was swinging as good as he ever has, except the few times it got away from him. Hogan used to say the winner is the guy who makes the least amount of bad swings, because everyone does make poor swings during a tournament. At any rate, I'm glad Tiger won, I hope he generates some interest in golf. Golf needs Tiger as much as he needs Golf.

Ya gotta hand it to him, he only let himself get a little emotional walking up 18, and when he was squatting looking over his putt, he pulled his hat down, collected himself, and was in control from there on out, and through the interview.

Order has been restored to the Universe. Let us now resume with our regularly scheduled activities ... until Augusta in two weeks.

I pulled for Tiger today, don't know why, he's a jerk, been said by too many people for there not to be a little fire in the smoke somewhere. Thing is, his play when he was hot elevated all the players to a new level once they got over their awe of him. If you are a golfer you have to admire what he's done. If he never wins again, he's got a hell of a record. He probably will win some more now that he's broken through again. He had to get his first win after the trouble before he could get the second, I don't think it'll be as hard from here on in.

Now, if he can just keep his horse in the corral, or at least out of sight! If you're honest with yourself, can you really demean Tiger for the things he's done? Freddy Couples has been pickin' up womens underwear off and on the golf course for close to thirty years, nobody cares, he's FREDDEEEEE.

I think those days are behind for Freddie as long as his current girlfriend is his caddy. She can keep a close eye on him from there.

I figured Tiger would win sometime, now to see if he can get back on track in the majors.

Even though I have never been a huge Tiger fan he is good for the game. Not sure if it has been his attitude or more the media that has turned me off.Perfect example, first win in over 900+ days, played in a handful of tournaments and they have already moved him back up to #6 in the world rankings

Glad he won. In my own mind I believe he has been punished and paid the price, literally and emotionally, for his misgivings. He lost a lot. But he refused to lay down and give up. I'm not sure admiration is the right word but it felt good to see him win by 5.

Tiger is a self absorbed arrogant **** that I would pass on if he was put in my foursome...that said I believe he is "the best golfer to have ever taken up the game"...from his ball striking to his putting stroke to his ability to see what is possible and execute the shot, there has never been anyone better...Jack came close and has more Majors (so far)...but if they played in the same era Tiger would eat him for lunch and spit the bones out on the tenth tee box...

I'm reluctant to claim Tiger's back but if he has found his groove and his knee holds out the tailor at Augusta might be calling for measurements..at the very least The Masters will be a most interesting spectacle this year...

I disagree. The modern equipment is more powerful and forgiving than what Jack played with. Jack was a total badass on the course.
If Bobby Jones had modern gear he would have been the best ever. He was crazy good.

We watched it. Not all of it, but a little on Saturday and Sunday, then we watched the conclusion on Sunday.

The smile he gave looking at his last putt, said it all. He knew he needed that, and it felt good.

It's not an arbitrary ranking system. Wins count big, top 10's, top 20's etc. They carry it over for two years.

I know what your saying....if all things were equal and they all started in the same era with the same learning curve and equipment I'd put my money on Tiger....Nicklaus ,Jones, Hogan, Hagen, Palmer....even Miller included
