Setting up a regular jam at work after work

The company I've recently started working for used to have a regular after work jam session. I'm thinking of trying to get it started up again. Has anyone here ever organized a sucessfull jam session at their workplace? Any advice you have would be helpful.

Thanks,

Dana

just make sure your boss gets to be the lead singer, lead guitar player and pick all the songs and you'll be fine.

Seriously, I've jammed with guys from work before but never as an official type thing.

Good luck, could be fun

My experience over four years is that if you can set dates in advance, it helps. More importantly, get the drummer to commit. Quite frankly, without a drummer I am likely to pass.

Having an objective in mind might also boost attendance. After a year of jamming, I proposed a concert to raise funds for student scholarships and art programs. Three concerts later, we have distributed about $10,000 to these causes.
