Very sad news. I always enjoyed Eric's input. If he's missed so much by people who never met him, I can't imagine the loss to his close friends and family. His signature was from Pope's Homer, so I'll toast him with a few more:

"What once thou wert, oh ever mightst thou be!

And age the lot of any chief but thee."

Thank you for the time you spent with us, Eric!

I am truly saddened by this. He was such a nice friendly person. I felt like I truly connected with him when discussing common experiences on the forum, a real gentleman.

I will miss him.

If I wasn't at work, I'd have a cold one in his honor right now.

RIP Eric.

Nothing more I can say that hasn't already been said. He was an enjoyable character here, a pleasure to read, and a true gentleman in every sense. BZ, Mr. Karonen, it was an honor.

I didn't know him personally, but his posts were always a pleasure to read.

Our paths only crossed on the InterWebs, but it still hurts when someone who has made me think and smile- sometimes simultaneously- leaves the building.

RIP Mr Karonen.
