Hey, Mark Davis!

You being a Bakersfield resident, I was wondering if you had an opinion on DA Ed Jagels. Rolling Stone ran a very unflattering article on him in the latest issue, and I'm curious as to what a local guy thinks of the whole thing. I always wonder how evenly balanced reportage is when presented in a pretty partisan magazine such as RS, even though I subscribed for many years. I consider myself a liberal by persuasion, but I'm always skeptical when such blatant impropriety is described, even when the accused are Republicans. Politics aside, how accurate is the RS article from a resident's viewpoint? Thanks.

Its very accurate. I have lived here since 1974 and know all about old Ed. He said to a local newstation "and you believe what a dope magazine has to say?"
