Guitar Tech Recommendations In Houston (or Austin)
I just finished my project tele & it turned out gorgeous (fotos to follow) if I do say so myself. I could probably "wing it" myself on the set up but would prefer a competent pro do it cause I would like this baby to be spot on. I live near Houston Tx. but would even travel to Austin to have it done right. I say Austin because you would think that there's a few good techs there. So, recommendations anyone?

Hey P
Look up a guy named Neil Sargent in the Heights. He is an independent, full time guitar tech. Been doing it for over 25 years. I would recommend the guy at Rockin Robin, but he scr.wed up that last guitar I sent him, so stick with Neil. If you can't find him, ask logman (Jim Hamilton). If you do find Neil's number, pass it on to me, I have some work that I have been needing to get done an my acoustic.
Yes, I love motorcycles. I rode one from high school through my college years. I have stayed off them for a while now because I don't "bounce" any more, I just hit hard.

Thanks for the tip, i'll try & look him up. Rockin Robin has always been a little pricey in my opinion, which is fine if you get excellent service. They repaired an amp for me one time & they had it for what seemed like an eternity. There's a guy at Lone Star Guitar that i've shot the **** with but I don't know anything about his abilities. In fact, Lone Star is a repair center only now

The amp guy at RNR
took awhile because he only comes in once a week. He has his own business, and just works part time for RNR
