Stop saying those words!!! I'm making fists and I swear I'll use them!!!

Wow!! Really? That's shocking to me. I'm so glad I wasn't aware of that for the last 30 years. I guess that gives some insight into what "trendy" means for me. My god I'm getting really old!!

I guess that means one of two things: Either we Tele people are much nicer than other people, or it's due to Paul and the mods ... Maybe both!

I'm ashamed to say that I've wasted many hours of my life, time I'll never get back, trying to reason with trolls. The only thing I've learned from this is that trolls are some mild form of sociopath. I'm not kidding - they get their jollies seeing other people in emotional anguish. It's pathetic and pretty disgusting but there's no cure, and they aren't going away as long as there's an Internet.

I thought that "meme" was something that failed to go viral

I have a lot of fun with occasionally trolling on here. <----- Is that the TDPRI's Troll Face?

I remember the days when trolling meant something.

"Anyone else think (fill in the blank, preferably a guitarist associated with Teles) is good, but not THAT good of a guitarist?"

"Why Gibson is superior to Fender in nearly every way"

Etc... when those types of topics are in your first 10 posts, I think it's safe to say they may be coming in here just to stir things up.
On an Auburn board I used to be on, if you had a low post count and said anything even close to questionable you would be flamed for being a "Bammer" within minutes. They were quite vigilant in trying to keep the Bammer trolling down. It was kind of funny to watch actually, like a "Bammer red scare."

I enjoy a good battle with a troll, it sharpens the mind, the best part is when you can get them around to arguing against something they were arguing for x number of posts ago. in my baseball forum days it was a major source of entertainment but then i got back into playing guitar.

this place doesn't have any real issue with it because the mods are good and most regulars just wont really bite on it. watching a capacitor thread go can be really fun though, but i just don't have the technical knowledge to participate.

but yeah it is annoying when somebody who thinks they know something calls you a troll when you point out that they actually don't know what they think they do, or similar.

Once had a friend remind me that Ad Hominem Attacks are the last refuse of a lost argument.

I refuse to take seriously any post that does not use 100% correct grammar. Due to your incorrect sentence structure (lacking a subject, "I"), I can discern that you obviously have no idea what you are talking about on the matter of trolling. Come back when you learn to write. Yeeesh!

Sometimes accusation of trolling is used as a convenient put-down in lieu of good argument, possibly due to lack of same and/or laziness.

A bigger umbrella keeps you and your baggage dry.
