How long has it been since Iggy's worn a shirt? That is the important question.

Has he ever?

This is why my music career has never taken off. Homer is my avatar for a reason. I knew talent had nothing to do with it.

If your fat you have to be the funnyman, its the only way.

Look at tenacious d for example.

You could of course make it in heavy metal, if you are in a band like slayer no one cares if you are fat. That music aint about being pretty.

They aren't all that thin. It's just that in America everyone has gotten so fat.
When I go places these days I am just shocked by how many overweight young people I see. It seems about 3 out of every 4 I see are either fat, or at least overweight.

I think there maybe something to diet and lifestyle in this modern era. These cats were all born during WWII. I was born in the late 50's and it was an anomaly if you were fat during my school years. In fact, fat kids were so rare they were ostracized unfortunately. Now being fat is almost the norm.

The Stones come from an era where people were not fat and as they aged, got skinnier.
Thats all we are seeing with them, is they are getting skinnier as they get older.
If you look at the picture earlier in the thread of Keef and Jones by the pool, they still had some baby fat on them, but now Keef is a skeleton as his muscles breakdown with the ravages of time.

Jones really is a skeleton unless they used some super charged embalming fluid.

After about 25 years of...well let's say skipping meals, their bodies kinda forgot what to do with food. Besides it's a high stress job. Party, play some music, count my money, repeat. I love them guys.

I would think the lifestyle would be hard on the body. They might be a correct weight but they look a little worn out.

Didn't Keith once say something like "I want to go to the grave completely used up", I think he is following that idea!

It's just as hard on the body to be carrying around 25 pounds more than you need as well. You ever see any 90 year olds that are fat? no, you don't, In fact you rarely see octogenarieans that are fat either.

Most people that live a long time aren't fat. Most everyone I know that has folks in their family doing well and still alive past 80-100 are rail thin. Might be something to that.
i'm not saying the Stones are thin because they are so healthy. But with the cash they bank, they can afford the best food on Earth, in whatever amount they want.
You don't get thin like they are because you feed your face all day long, that's for sure.

You also don't live and be as active as they are snortin stimulants either.
My guess is they all are rail thin because their priority isn't how much food they can stuff down every day, Add to that a diet rich in cigarettes and younger wives, I'm sure they find more excercize than they can handle-LOL

For Keith it's the shepherds pie diet he loves so much

I don't think any of them are over 5'8" so they aren't tall either......

My wife says Keith is the ugliest man in the world but also says he was nice looking in his youth

Those "ugly guys" have, most likely, been laid more times than everyone on this forum put together.

He certainly didn't look like the Zombie he appears like today.
He wasn't a bad looking lad back in the day. He was quite the playa back in his late 20's.
But then weren't we all. The older I get the better looking I was.

I was just looking in the mirror the other day after looking at a picture of myself taken in my early 30's........and wondering where my lips went? I used to have fuller lips than I do now, I had no idea losing lip was part of the ageing process. I also had a more defined neck and chin, now it all kind of blends into one line-LOL!

I'll tell ya, it sucks getting old naturally, but what can you do?
Every year the hair gets thinner on the head and fuller in the ears and nose.
I never had to think about such things. Now I have to look in the mirror e very few days before I go out in public, especially around women, just to make sure I don't have any hair growing out my nose or ears!!!

These guys at least get to wear mascara and other weird things[B] the general public doesn't usually do. If the stones could just find a new singer, they could go on forever.
Maybe have Mick start p[laying bass and hire a new young gun to man the mic.

They can still write songs for rest homes and stuff.

I visited the Cleveland Rock and Roll Museum years ago. They had stage setups of the Stones and other bands. There were mannequins wearing their stage clothes. Boy, the Stones were tiny in all dimensions, about the size of young Asian women. It was quite surprising to me.

Jagger's dad was a school physical fitness teacher, and Jagger has always been in the habit of exercising.

According to Google, Mick is 5ft 10 and Keef is 5ft 9. Not exactly huge, but well within the norm.

Maybe in a Rock Band......

There is something that just doesnt work with the look of a well built person in a rock band. It probably has something to do with skinny being associated with youth, which is ironic because some of the most iconic skinny rockers are extremely old. But at the same time they do exhibit the energy of youth, which is important for the music.

I am a fairly young, twenty something. People my age are in uber trendy indie bands where style/image is very much above the music. Screaming girls will fall at the feet (or twitter pages) of these skinny hipsters. It just wouldnt work if they were either fat or heavily muscular. Muscly look can work for metal as its more aimed at boys, but anything aimed at girls (the main market!) is skinny guys, often pretty boys with fancy haircuts these days.

Like this:

or this:

Its the look that the majority of 'hip' teenage girls are into, because all the cool guys who are artists/musicians/creatives etc in the city (Shoreditch or Williamsburg) look like. Manoerixics who live off cocaine, beer & cigarettes. Oh and, mummy's trust fund usually too.
Maybe you need to be Skinny for a Rock Band but I think it's much different for the Blues!

Hell - it's exercize just keeping up with the younger women they hang out with.
Plus, Keef can invite any of his famous pals over to the estate to have pheasants launched off the garden wall for some shooting fun and gourmet dinner later.

Pheasant under glass anyone? Oh just av a seat ol mate whilst I have the chef whip us some dinner for us. Then maybe we can go fondle macawber and some others in my collection. "Maybe go hit some golf balls off the deck onto Davey Gilmours houseboat on Thames.....gets em riled every time". "You know that sound effect they used on that last album where there's all that pounding? "Yep, it was the golf balls me and Pagey hit off the deck a few years back". "Friggin genius my arse" Just like that tune "Run" that was Davey yellin at me to get off his property way back when for shaggin his girl".

Damn!!! All this time I thought that young rocker pic badabing posted with the shag haircut was a chick - unbelievable, I had no idea.

So girls go for that metrosexual trans-gender type of male these days huh?
Well I guess that's nothing new, that's what the ol farts used to say about us in the 60's and 70's when we had shoulder length hair.

Mick weighs 140. I'm about that size... Funny, I kinda think that chunkier guys have better luck getting ladies. I can't count all the times I've seen some chubster marrying some incredibly hot chick in the newspaper.
