Phewwww !!, taken a while but me and the wife have finally had an offer accepted on a fantastic old 3000sq ft storefront/house in the historic heart of Bartlett, Texas !!
Reckon well be in and set up by mid - end of March - reckon a TDP house warming might be In order, bring the sleeping bag and an expensive gift :-)

Our neighbours are Lois and Jerry - and their bar !! :-)

What's hilarious is...we have a bar as our neighbors - Lois and Jerry's - and neither of us really drink! Why couldn't I have had a bar across the street when I was in my 20s?!? ;-)

Soooooo happy! Embarrassingly happy! We're thinking of making the front section (the storefront) the only guitar and amp shop in the world with nothing for sale! ...or old motorcycle parts and various hot rod bits and pieces...

We fell in love with the idea of a place like this after Aaron (BritishBluesBoy) posted that amazing shot of his Bonneville...in his living room. *SWOON*

Visited a friend not long ago who used to live in Cameron, not too far from you.

Thanks so much for being so sweet hahaha...and we peeked at a house in Cameron! Then we went back to our long stay hotel apartment thingy and John got back to work. Getting gigs and posting on the TDP ;-)

Any small hotels or B&Bs nearby?

BTW -- The Dallas Guitar Show is April 20 - 22. Don't pick that weekend.

Wonderful, wonderful. I drove back from Bartlett to Austin one night on the rim of my boss' 1952 Jeep after a remodeling job. (He was driving) That was about 1973. Haven't been back since. Good have a great reason like this to go back!

Congratulations! It may seem like it took awhile, but from where I'm sitting, it's been a whirlwind romance, marriage, relocation, and a new home! Way to get things done!
