Shreveport's Municipal Memorial Auditorium and the Hayride
I started this a couple years ago, got motivated by Carol's photos a year ago, and finally decided to finish this.
http://scottymoore.net/shreveport.html Sorry for the delay. Jim |

Hank Sr. began and ended at the Hayride. His last wife was from Bossier City.
The Grand Old Opry may be the legend, but the Hayride is of no less historical importance to country music. Thanks, great pics. |

Howdy,
Shreveport/Bossier City is my adopted home. When I take my scooter to work, I often take a slight detour by the old Municipal auditorium and salute the statues of Elvis, James Burton and the old auditorium! PS: I also nod at Leadbelly's statue in front of the downtown Shreveport library, while making my 2-wheeled commute. ;) |
