78 RPM Records

I just bought a bunch of 78's at an auction. Les Paul, Frank Sinatra, Margret Whiting, Eddie Fisher, Cowboy Copas, and more (about 20 total). I wonder what something like that would be worth? Anyone have any Idea? They all have the original sleeves also.......

From what I've learned..it's like most other 'collectables' Condition is critical....and in the case of records...sealed and unplayed is what folks look for.

I tried to see what the wife's old, old Elvis records were worth...and ended up tossing them. Virtually valueless...in "well listened to" condition... :)

A buddy/bandmate of mine is a dealer in rare records. Unless you have something truly rare and in good condition it seems that most of them go for 3 bucks amongst those who trade in 78s.

My dad's got an original Beatles' White Album, still sealed, never opened....and it's one of those vinyls where the vinyl is actually white. So it really is a white album.

Pretty cool. I have no idea what it's worth.

But yeah, I've got a ton of cool vinyl...some of it might be considered rare....but I've played the heck out of them over the years, and they're basically worth a few buck each.

How does he really know the vinyl is white if he never opened it?

My rarest record is the Grateful Dead's first single, "Don't Ease Me In" b/w "Stealin'" on Scorpio Records. But it's been played a bit. No clue what it's worth.
