I screwed up my neck...again
My OWN neck, not my guitar neck!!
About ten years ago I smashed my head pretty hard getting into a truck...blacked out for a few seconds, couldn't turn my head for days. It's given me problems ever since, and I have to be pretty careful about what I do at the gym otherwise I'll aggravate it again. I also am sure that having the weight of a solidbody guitar across my left shoulder doesn't help much. I guess I slept on it wrong the other night, because it's stiff as hell again and my left arm feels a little weak. I keep trying to work it out but I'm afraid I may have to see a chiropractor for a good crackin'.

Yup, get in the passenger side next time and bash it the other way :).
Seriously, once it goes it can easily go again; my wife's shoulder and neck 'go' regularly since she fell off a mountain. Luckily she's a nurse, and got a chiropractor friend to show me how to click things back into place. Maybe your wife/partner/etc could get a quick lesson on your particular problem. Of course, our chiropractor had nothing to lose (financially) as our treatment is free ( wonderful UK National Health Service ); if your's charges you, he may want to keep his secrets :). As one who has suffered with chronic pain for over 30 years, I implore you to get it taken care of NOW! As you well know, these things have a way of raisng their ugly head ( no pun or disrespect inteneded ) later on down the road. My wife was in a few car accidents 25 years ago where she suffered whiplash. She never went for help and suffers with neck pain on a daily basis. It's consuming to say the least. So, take it form one who knows.......take care of that neck! Good luck. I sincerely hope it gets better.
