Epi LP Jr.
I tried one of these 100 buck specials today... I must say, I was rather impressed... Anyone know what these items are made of? I have only seen them described as "tonewood"...
What did you think of this guitar? I was thinking.. for 100 bucks... jeez... how can you go wrong?

hahahahahaha. I have one and I love it. The paint is so thick that it could be made out of partical board for all I know. But for that price, its solid, simple and sounds good. Who cares what its make of. $89 bucks? I say grab one. |

I bought the SG version for my daughter when they had them. They don't make them anymore.
Georgeous transparent cherry finish. Super hot bridge humbucker. GREAT sound. I just wish she would play it. If the had not put that odd Pickguard on it, I might have found some way to get it from her and convert it to a full SG setup. But there are holes in strange places now.. |

I have an older one with a P-90 (I don't know if that model is still available), that I think I paid $120 for. It needed a little fretwork, but it's a surprisingly well built axe. It would be a great starter guitar, but it's solid enough to use at gigs. It's just a guess here, but I think mine is basswood (it's a sunburst).
