Anyone interested in a Colo Springs CO jam???

I will put the word out to the GuitarsByLeo.com site, this forum, the LP forum, and any other worthwhile internet sites you guys may know of.

This would be a "come one, come all" type jam session. Blues, c&w, rock, whatever. All guitars welcome, even pointy headstocks! LOL Have a few beers, some good grub and conversation... life is good! Hell I'm even fortunate enough to know a few hotties who might show up just to give us some eye candy to oogle (male and female, we're equal opportunity around here)! :)

I think I know of a place that would let us play, and I'm pretty sure I could line up a drummer and most likely a bassist. I'd be willing to loan my rig (a 1/2 stack) and feel confident I could land one or two other amps. I also think I could get us mics, PA and stuff.

Any interest? Colo Springs is mighty nice in the spring/summer time!! :)

GopherTele, you can even come if you like--I promise there will be songs played other than Duran Duran, and there might even be a tube amp or two. :)

If anyone's interested, let me know here or via email ericmyleshancock@hotmail.com or call me 719-232-7774

Thanks!

-Eric

I'd come down. I'm sorry that I dropped the ball on getting another Northern Colorado jam together. You might mention it on the regular discussion board.

Say when, and I'm your huckleberry.

Well, if someone will play the music, I can sing, some.

Jam update....

....the jam will be dubbed "The Pikes Peak Jam" and will happen in late June or July. It will be held near Monument, CO (about 10-15 minutes north of Colo Springs).

Mark Miller (over at the G&L page) has secured us a venue which should be very cool: entire backline, drums, amps, etc all furnished, room for plenty, and an area to BAR-B-QUE baby! Woo-hoo!

I'll share more when I have exact dates.

(By the way, no I'm not related to any John Hancock in Charlotte that I know of; I did graduate HS near Winston-Salem, but I'm originally from Alabama)

Thanks, -Eric

I'm in!

Just moved here from Charlotte (another John Hancock fan here) and have been looking for a jam session for a while; I just don't know anyone here yet.

Anyone in Denver need a decent but rusty bass player or a really mediocre Tele player?

Throw one in October and maybe I can fly out! We'll be gigging ourselves silly all summer (the good part of living in a beach resort), so I can't come to Colorado (the bad part of living in a beach resort)...

Cheers, Tim (formerly of Fort Collins)

I'm guessing the Colorado Springs Summer Jam '05 is a dead idea?

I'm still interested if anyone else is.

Dead for now....

....didn't get too much interest, and then a member at another discussion page sort of started taking the ball and running with it. I think a venue he had ended up not panning out.

I'm in a new job right now, too much going on for me to pull it together.
