On The McLaughlin Group they were all in agreement (for once) that John Paul and Ronald Reagan were the two most important People of the last 25 years of the 20th
Century. He had the third longest reign of any Pope in the history of The Church.

He will be deeply missed.

I still remember when he was installed 26 years ago. It was a huge thing. He was actually, back then, an ATHLETIC guy -- and his vitality was one of the things everyone was surprised with back then. Spoke numerous languages -- sang -- even made an album or two.

Good man. It seems like only yesterday when he was elected. Time flies.

One of the Cardinals said the other day that the Pope would be in the arms of Jesus on Saturday night. He got that one right. That's a little freaky.
While I disagreed a lot with some of his stands, I had a lot of respect for John Paul. He lived his faith as he understood it. He's at one with his creator now, and I wish him peace.
