House of Blues Sunset?

Has anyone here played the main music hall? Or for that matter... anyone attended a show there? What was the sound/general vibe like?

I've attended many shows there. I like the sound and the vibe. Others think it's "too corporate." Whatever. A lot of care went into its construction and it's run very smoothly and professionally compared to most other clubs on the Strip.

It has good air conditioning, which is a big plus. I think The Roxy finally put in air conditioning after 30 years. I've had to walk out of shows there because the heat and humidity were unbearable.

Skully, thanks for the info... Is it a loud/live room? What kind of stage and house sound do they have? Are people allowed to have alcohol (bottles/glasses) in that room? how high is the stage?

They have three bars on the stage level alone and roaming waitresses, so, yes, booze is allowed.

I believe the stage is about four and a half or five feet tall.

I think room sounds good, but I have no clue about the house sound and monitors. The mixing board is in the middle of the room. That's about all I can tell you.

It's a showcase club in the center of ground zero for the entertainment community. It seems to be operated in a much more organized and consistent fashion than The Roxy or The Whisky.

man, you had my hopes up for a second there!

thought you had a reason to be wondering if the sun was finally setting on house of blues. those folks have put more blues bars out of business than karaoke.
