Frank Zappa had a great quote about rack guitar gear: "It makes your guitar sound like an electric ham sandwich." So I like "Electric Ham Sandwich." Also, Chilliwack had an album named "Rockerbox," which I think would be a great band name. Here are some others I came up with in a moment of free assoication:
At Random Screaming Mimes Buck Naked and the 23rd Century Pickled Hairlip Blazing Sandals The Masticators The Whether Channel Cottonmouth and the Dry Heaves Brian Damage Electric Bill and the Disconnect Notice Johnny Cockroach The Cereal Killers |

Allright , I'm late to the show.
After hearing the explanation for the title for Buddy Holly's "That'll be the Day", My buddys and I were watching "The Searchers" a few weeks later and I was floored by a line that quotes "And all I have is Dead Man's Clothes ". I always wanted to use it but I'll donate it to the cause. Also I am fond of a couple more:
Pornstorm Ty and the Can't Hardly Playboys |

I've always thought there was a great band name sitting right here, under our noses .... Bad Dog Cafe.
I think American Standard would be a cool name, especially if they're playing "Americana". My next band's name is gonna be Nacho Daddy. How 'bout The Heathens?

A few politically incorrect...but not tasteless
In no particular order:
The Tyrds (rhymes with Byrds -use lotsa Rickenbackers!) The Tyme (not Morris Day) Oedipus Rex and the Mofo's (or Oedipus Tex for you boys from Tejas) The Beatless (for a power trio with no drummer, substitute your instrument of choice) The Art Vandalay Experience (for Seinfeld fans) Rednec(k)rophilia (for southern men obsessed with the dead) Sh*t Sandwich (for Spinal Tap fans) Ancient Chinese Secret (but you MUST play "Wok, Don't Run") Jailbait (hey, they're young guys, it'll probably attract the older chicks) Eice Cherry (that's what Neil Diamond wanted to use as his stage name) Here's a few from before their time... Mr Peabody & the Wayback Machine The Clyde Crashcup Express Hanoi Jane & the Traitor *****es (obviously an all-girl bubblegum group) The He-Men Woman Haters' Club (kinda gives you the Sgt Pepper feel...) Jive Ass Turkey (for a '70's funk band) Purity of Essence (for Dr Strangelove fans) The Ho Chi Minh Overdrive (East meets west) How about some Abbreviations: VFW (Very Few Women) WTF ??? FUBAR The SOB's

Angry Angels...
Back in the 90s...I wanted to name a roots rock band -
"Angry Angels" but I backed off the name once the "Arc Angels" hit the scene. I even had an idea for a logo... An angel in white (w/wings) sitting on a bar stool with his dark hair slicked back wearing wayfarers and a goatee - smoking a cigarette and looking at a big tatoo on his arm. maybe its time... p.s. I haven't posted in awhile...and I'm happy to see the TDPRI survived a hacking attack...I still lurk and "freaked" when I discovered the site was down. |

The Poster Children
Poster Child There was a post earlier that said "Dead Mans Clothes" that is way punk rock. Only a dirty little punker would use a dead mans clothes. Let us all know when a name has been chosen and where they will play.
