I'm in. I'm trying to ace the fitness test in order to get on to the Toronto Fire Service.

Starting point 175bs at 15% body fat. I want to be about 170, but more fit. Which would equate to a body fat percentage of about 10%. Which is only about 8lbs, but its the hardest 8lbs.

This Thursday thing fits into my gym schedule which is Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.

204 - start
198 - 1st week
193 - 2nd week
190 - 3rd week
189 - 4th week
15 lbs. lost

my routine is the same and this week only lost 1 lb.
i'm guessing this is what's called 'reaching your plateau'.
i've also been told 1-2 pounds weekly is the healthy way.

Well done Momo - sounds like that is a very sensible approach.

I am at 192 - same as last week and just 1lb lost in total. Must try harder!

Down from 195 to 188 since January first. Weight watchers works for me. No special exercise, just staying busy.

Man, this is slooooow for me. Not discouraged, just irrated that I let these pounds back on so easily. STUPID!

See you next week.
Ooof. 194.00lbs this morning! +0.8lbs BUMMER.

I've been running twice a day for 30 minutes/ea and doing calisthenics for 20mins twice a day. I'm eating VERY light for lunch and a sensible dinner, plenty of water.

Basically, I'm not moving much up or down. I'd be lying if I said it didn't irk me a bit.

I feel really good, in fact the best in years, so I've got that going for me. Ah...it'll happen!

Well, I've been sick for over a month and then it started raining so I couldn't get out and walk every day as I use to. So I've ended up gaining a pound.

However, I did a treadmill test with my cardiologist this week and I had some good news. It took a long time for my heart rate to get up to where they wanted. They had to have me running uphill. That tells me that my walking has been helping my cardio fitness. In fact, when he looked at my EKG he literally said "So why are you here?"

However, when we stopped my heart rate dropped down to about 117 but then just hung around the 109 to 115 range. It should have recovered to below 100 at a faster rate. The Dr. said that tells him that when I walk I could stand to get my heart rate up during my workout for a bit longer.

So I need to do more cardio work, but my heart is looking fine and I'm cleared to do that kind of workout without worrying about it.

Currently at 223.5#

That's a 6.5# drop since we started this. Slow and steady.
