Already started on Monday. I'm carrying more than II should, not obese but it's not me either. So these are cold, hungry nights. And that's OK. I'm looking forward to being lighter on my feet.

Way to go all!
Take it from someone who shed a lot of weight last year. There are going to be some ups and downs, so if you find you gained a bit, then take it easy the next couple of days. Don't let the bad days gang up on you!

I weighed in front of my congregation (we were on a Biggest Loser series) in November of 2010 at 315# (I am 75" tall). It shocked me and embarrased me. So I lost a bit on my own, got some help and I am proud to say today that I weighed this morning and I am sitting at 243#. I haven't been in the 240s for almost 20 years. Blood pressure is back to normal and I feel much more active.
I travel a bit so exercise is a problem staying in a routine, but I cut out late night burgers and such when on the road, walk as much as I can, and I did two rounds of HCG with my wife which helped out tons.

So in the immortal words of Rob Schneider, "You can do it!!"
I will check in on this and post up, I would like to see 230 and eventually be down under 220. If I get smaller than that I will blow away or someone will stick a light bulb in my mouth and stand me on a street corner.

Had a good week this week.
Loads of exercise- spin classes mostly and really watched my diet.
Haven't had any alcohol since my birthday (8th) which is probably helping too.

Down to 235, from 237 last week and 239 from the beginning.
Total loss so far: 4lbs.

My initial goal is 220.
Then 200.

I'm only down 1 pound this week. My total since the start is 6 pounds. Better than nothing, I guess.

Momo that looks like a good plan. I'm eating more rice and less bread, more fish and less meat, and generally fewer snacks, oh and smaller portions all round. Time to get back on the bicycle too!

That's interesting Jake... for most people (according to my doctor), diet will nearly always have the bigger impact. It did for me.

I will say this though, even though you only dropped a few pounds in that year--and I know that had to be disappointing--I bet your numbers such as cholesterol greatly improved. You're probably in a lot better health than before.

It's coming off slow, but I'm heading in the right direction and I feel great. Good food and exercise!

I'm in. I've been up and down over the past few years, but I just packed on some extra padding over the past few months of my wife's pregnancy and now is the time to drop it. I've lost a few pounds since Jan 1, but for a baseline...

H = 6'4"
W = 285
Goal: -20lbs by June
