good in-ear monitors?
I'm looking for a good set of in-ear monitors. This will be for our singer who is even more lost on the subject than I am. His budget is $800 or less.
I've seen stuff from Nady, Shure, Sennheiser, and Carvin. What are other brands and where is a good place to look at theses things? What we need is something he can use at practuce and also use live. How do these work live? Do we give the transmitter to the sound guy and have him hook it up? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks. |

Sennheiser
Everyone I know who has them has the sennheiser unit. It's super clear, much better sound than the rest. The problem with the whole deal is for them to work well you need custom molded ear pieces. You have to go to an audiologist and that gets expensive. Well worth it though. I would order through a pro place like sweetwater. This is not something guitar center knows about. They might give you the best price though after sweetwater gives you the recommendation.
Can't go wrong with the Sennheiser though. A http://www.AnthonyPisapia.com |
