I Googled it, and it seems like a pretty straightforward machine. Certainly the price looks great, too!

Cheers, Tim

I have a MR-8

It is, as Tim stated, pretty straightforward. My only complaint is with the capacity of the Compact Flash card, but that can easily be remedied. Actually, Wal Mart here has the 512 MB C.F. card for $65. That gives you quite a bit of recording time.

If I knew how to post a clip, or rather where to host a clip, I'd post one that I did on my MR 8.

If you want simplicity, and decent quality, the MR 8 will give it to you (IMHO).

After all that though, I'm still thinking of selling mine and upgrading to the Boss 1180. I need that Boss like I need a hole in my head though.

Joel

If you want simple and easy to operate, without a lot of extras I'd suggest the new TASCAM DP-01 (there's also the DP-01FX with built in effects, XLR ins, etc). Since I already have a mixer with XLR ins, effects and amp emulators, I went with the cheaper version @ $399. I found it even easier to operate than my old 414 four track cassette! :D
