Indy vs Pats

Must say, I'm surprised. I sure expected more out of Manning and company. It's 13-3, nearing the 4th quarter.

No way Indy wins this. I sure thought they'd have more of a potent offensive attack. Kudos to the Pats for shutting them down.

I'll be pulling for New England against the overrated Steelers.

Manning must've used up all his TDs during the regular season.

Bill Belichick may or may not be a genius but he sure knows some football.

DOMINANCE - NEW ENGLAND

....SUBMISSION - INDIANAPOLIS.
All week long only one Quarterback's name was mentioned. The Patriots TEAM resented that to

Dome Quarterbacks are the perpetual NFL overrated jokes.

Still, I think the people who are writing Manning off for good are premature. He can probably playfor ten more years. Lots of things can change in that time. Too early to call him that Dan Fouts of his generation. (Is there any other good comp in the Super Bowl era? A great quarterback who never made it to the Superbowl? Not talking just really good (e.g. Moon). Really great.)

.....you could put Bledsoe in there, since he wasn't the QB when the Pats finally made it there with Brady.

I agree with you about Manning too. It just seems that the Pats have his (and Indy's) number. Keep in mind, Manning and Indy went on the road (outdoors) to KC last year and lit them up.

If they're good again next year, who knows, they may host Denver (or Pittsburgh, or the NY Jets, or Baltimore, or ???) and may make it to the Super Bowl.

Drew was there

Drew made it when Parcells was coaching and we (Pats) got spanked by Green Bay during the Favre's prime.

Another that only made it there once was Marino... was that his rookie year? And everyone figured "don't worry, a quarterback THAT good will get a couple more shots in the Super Bowl..." which didn't happen.

But Bledsoe really isn't on track for the Hall of Fame (despite the talk early in his career) while Manning is. Two other HOF QBs went to the super bowl as backups (I think): Blanda and Jergensen (or was Sonny on IR in '72?). (Edit) I forgot Unitas. He didn't start Super III, it was Errol Morral. But I think JU was on the roster.

.....how could I forget that?

It's true, most "great" QBs get there at least once.
