Went to the Twins game yesterday. Bert was on the field after the game, and being it was Easter Sunday......

I heard there is a drinking game, that if you have a drink every time Bert says "Major League Level", you can get hammered in no time.

I haven't tried it because I don't drink anymore.

One of my favorite ballplayers as a kid. It is about time he made it into the hall of fame. He was supposed to be a real jokester as a player. There is a local restaurant with a lot of Cleveland sports memorabilia on the walls. One is a traditional team picture of one of the early 80's Indians teams. At first glance it looks like your typical team picture and I'm sure a lot of people have walked by it without a second thought. But, a bunch of the players are laughing. Then you see Bert Blyleven turned around and mooning camera.

Bert's one of The Great "Money Pitchers" of all time.
If any of Ya ever meet The Great Nolan Ryan ask him if he liked going against Bert.
Bert and Dave Stewart ruined a lotta Hall Of Famers days frequently.
Nolan Ryan and Roger Clemens are the two that come to mind.

I find it INCREDIBLE that Bert and Dave so far have been excluded from Cooperstown as they're both better Pitchers than 60% of the enshrined pitchers.
Luis Tiant is another Guy who gets screwed too.
All three of these guys are better and I mean WAY BETTER than Don Sutton and his inflated 300 wins.

Ain't no such thing as an inflated 300 wins in the big leagues.

I saw Blyleven pitch a few times near the end of his career with Rangers, and he did have the greatest curve I've ever seen. I do think he ought to be in the HOF. Not so sure about Dave Stewart.

Bert "BE Home" Blyleven was selected this year for HOF.

I always felt he was excluded for this long because of the many losses on his record. But you must realize all the bad teams he pitched for. As it's said "you gotta be pretty good to lose that many games"

Dave Stewart- wow, what a pitcher. He looked so tough and mean, threw like the devil and had this squeeky little voice. Every time he spoke I'd giggle.
