Snow Day

Real Fun! I love snow days. I get to sleep in and play a little guitar, read up on my guitar magazines, and even play a few video games. What do you guys do or did on snow days (anyone else having one)?

snowing here in Mass

I live on the MA/NH border, and I decided to stay home from work today... not that there was that much snow when I got up, but it's piling up now, and is supposed to change over to sleet/freezing rain later (and I have a long commute to Boston, so screw it!).

BUT... my wife's sick as a dog with cough, sore throat, head cold, etc, and we also have a 1-year old daughter, so I'm Mr Mom while my wife's trying to rest up.

Luckily, she took a long nap so I was able to get some pickin' in on my tele down in the basement, as well as update the band's website with the current schedule and some new pics.

Later I'll be outside with the snowblower for sure!

In The White Mountains

of New Hampshire it's been a steady snowfall since about
6:00am. Freezing rain by dusk so they say - I'm off to The General Store for some food supplies - got a feeling this is the first snowed-in weekend. The Cats are sleeping by the Fireplace, a hint to "fire it up" I suppose

I'm in Iowa and we just got POUNDED. 15" where I'm at. I'm a self employed insurance agent so I decided to stay home.

Thus far, I've:

Turned my 1966 Super Reverb up to 7 and wailed away on my Heritage 535
Cranked my Double Deluxe to "patent applied for" with my Les Paul
Played my acoustic
Watched a movie (Troy, real good by the way)
Now I'm surfing the net and thinking about some lunch

I'm in Albany, and you guys to the east are about to get clobbered with a real mess. We had about 3 or 4 inches of powdery snow that lasted until about 11 am, and it's been sleeting steadily ever since. My 30 minute commute just took an hour and 15, and it ain't even rush hour yet.

Being the landlord, I'll have to do some shoveling, and then I have to get ready for an interview tomorrow. I should probably take a few hours to clear off the workbench so I can start working on my amp projects, too!
