It was a slew of stuff; a Duncan Hot Stack, blank Tele control plate, 2 new potentiometers, new caps, black Esquire pickguard (making an Esquire), a pedal enclosure w/ footswitches, LEDs, jacks and resistors (making a bypass loop switcher).
I am laid up from surgery, so I figured I might as well keep busy.

How is that Duncan Hot Stack lead (I'm assuming that you were referencing a Hot Lead Stack STK-T2b) pickup treating you? I'm intrigued by that pup, but I haven't found any examples of its sound online? Does it sound single-coilish or straight up humbuckery? Also, does it retain any twang?
One odd thing: On the SD sight, it's described as an Alnico 5 pickup, but Musicians Friend says it has a ceramic magnet.

![]() The last piece of guitar gear that I bought (strings and bottleneck slides excluded) was an Allparts TMNF-FAT - Chunky Replacement Neck for Telecaster® I love this thing and I will never touch another guitar with a thinner neck. Unfortunately, it cost more than original cost of the guitar (Squier BSB CV50s) that I installed it on. |
