Which IPOD or MP3 player should I look at?

I didn't want to hijack the other thread about the teenage girl's IPOD gift, so I thought I would make my own post here

I need somthing that will store a few hundred songs at most with a screen that is easy to navigate from song to song.

I teach guitar and want to put my curriculum and most "taught" songs on one machine instead of finding each individual CD and putting it in finding the track etc.

It will be a dedicated machine for my lessons only.

Price is not an issue, ease and quickness of use is. It will need to be able to plug into my PA but I am sure they all do that?

What would you folks recommend?

TIA,
Brett

Ipod mini would be my reccomendation. They're cheaper, they're cuter, and they've got a metal body. You probably won't miss the extra song storage if you're only using it for lessons.

The only reason I don't have one is that they don't have user swappable batteries. I can't stand that. I want to be able to change my batteries when they run out instead of having to recharge them or plug into a bulky battery pack.

If you're willing to settle for a gig of memory, (about 16 hours) there's a bunch of flash-memory based players out there. I like the looks of the Creative Labs and Rio offerings.

This is what I suggested on the other thread. I think it would be perfect for what you are looking for. You can also record your students performances on it if you want..

Creative Labs Zen Micro Drive. It's one of the hot MP3 players this year.
