Please allow me to introduce myself...
Hi
I joined the Group about a week ago and I thought it only polite to let you know I 'm here! My name is Les Cornier (Or "Core", for short) from West Sussex in England. I am 45 yrs old and work as an IT Consultant. My hobby - no, obsession - is the humble guitar. I love 'em! And my favourite is the Tele... I own five of them, along with five Strats, three Rickenbackers - including my "Susanna Hoffs".... mmmmm.... where was I ?!!! Oh yeah...two Les Pauls, a Firebird, a PRS, a Gretsch Clipper and... so on and so on... collected over the last 25 years or so. I put the collection up on my web page, if you want to look.... I hope to get to know you guys better over the coming months.... it really is a great forum - populated by the nicest crowd I have ever "met" on the web. All the best Les (Core)

Hi Les, welcome to the most informative/civilised/fun place on the Net!
You may not remember, but I bought your SF Champ off you on eBay a year or two ago. Best purchase I ever made!! Thanks. Enjoy your stay here!!

Hold on a sec... aren't you required by law to immediately follow that line with "I'm a man of wealth and taste?" (British common law, but still – I wasn't aware that you were allowed to separate the two...) ;-)
Seriously, glad you're here, enjoy. :-) CS |

WELCOME ABOARD!!!
I gotta ask: That contemplative pause after you mentioned "Susanna Hoffs" - were you contemplatin' the guitar, or Susanna??? I never liked the Bangles, but I sure did like HER!!!!! Woohoo!!!!! OK I'm all better now.

Wow!!
This is fantastic... thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome. Colin!! Of course I remember! Great to know the old Champ is still serving you well.... I was sure that it had gone to a good home. :) Chris and Joel.... of course, you are correct. The two lines are inter-dependant and should never be separated. Please accept my grovelling apologies to Their Satanic Majesties, for this early act of delinquency :). The only defence that I can muster up, is that of ignorance - having had neither "wealth" nor "Taste" endowed upon me! ("You can't always get what you want....") ....and Trag-o-caster.... you're a very perceptive person! It was Susanna (the girl) that set my mind a-wandrin'! Maybe I'll be all better one day too.... hope not! :D Think I'm going to enjoy it here... Many thanks, again, for a great welcome all the best.... Les
