This has been asked a bazillion times but...

...can someone tell me the step-by-step procedure for posting pics of guitars on this or any other board? I have a digital camera and firewire on my computer. I think I can get the pics into my computer without any problem but I don't know how to get them on the TDPRI. I've had several people ask to see pics of my new USACG guitars on this and other boards but I'm a novice at this sort of thing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

First you must sign up with an online photo hosting site. There are plenty free ones on the net. I currently use Village Photos which allows me 30mgs of online space. Then get the pictures from the camera to your computer & edit the picture the way the want it to be seen by the world. When you are editing the photo, keep in mind that the pic is to be no more than 400 pixels wide, per instructions here. Upload the pic to your hosting site. Most photo hosting sites have some sort of interface/control panel & instructions to help you do this. Once the pic is on the web, it will have a URL that is the internet address of the pic. When you post here & want to have the picture in your post, click the IMG button below the subject line, paste your URL inbetween the IMG tags, preview to see your picture. When you are happy with the results, hit submit. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anymore help.

I tried but...

All that shows is the little white box w/ the red "x" in it. If I click on it, another window opens and I see the pic. The pic is much less than 400 pixels wide. Is that the way it's supposed to work? I'm thinking the pic should show without clicking anything.
