Bajo Sexto or Bajo Quinto Question

I was thinking about buying a REAL Bajo Sexto or Quinto, anybody here play one?
I was looking at the "Lonestar" brand Quintos for around $299,
I think it comes with a Fischman transducer.

Any suggestions? I may want to work up some Los Lobos/ Texas Tornadoes type stuff and I always wanted one anyway.....

Should I buy a better one?

The ones I've seen were poorly made, and had huge thick necks.

And watch the soundboards. Many "new" models already have a huge belly bulge from the tension of the strings.
